This is the usual kickoff event for Italian car lovers in the Northeast. There is a sponsored a car corral on the Carlisle Show Field where Italian car owners gather and talk of their winter projects. It is not unusual to see 50+ Italian cars in our corral. This is also an opportunity to rummage through the used part vendors and find bargains. You are guaranteed to see many unusual vintage imports from Europe. The fee to register a car for the show field is $15 which includes the entrance fee for the driver and one passenger. For more information check the Carlisle web site.

Once again we'll be gathering at the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, CT. This is the 6th largest air museum in the nation. It ill be held on Sunday, June 4th beginning at 9 am. There is a $5 per car charge that includes entrance to the museum for the driver and all passengers. For lunch, your options will be a catering vendor who will be on site, packing your own lunch or going to one of the nearby restaurants. For more information email Bob Durgan

Le Belle Macchine d'Italia will be holding its annual gathering of Italian exotic cars as well as Fiats, Lancias and Alfas over the weekend of June 24th at Skytop, PA. FLU has been present at the concourso of Le Belle d'Italia for more than 10 years. . At this show you will see more than 50 each of Ferrari's, Maserati's, Lamborghini's and Pantera. Every year there are some very rare models including a group of Iso Grifo's. You will never witness a gathering of Italian cars like this in another venue. It was so much fun last year, we're doing it again! This is the big event originates at the world headquarters for Fun Imported Auto and Toys. We will meet at FUN on Friday, August 11th leaving no later than 1:00 p.m. arriving in Wiscasett, Maine around 5:00 p.m. We will be staying at the Wiscasset Motor Lodge, next to Atlantic Motorcar on Route 1.

Friday night will be a "Meet & Greet" get together at Atlantic Motorcar.

Saturday morning, after breakfast we will leave at about 9:30 for the run. It will involve a stop for about a half hour to enjoy the ocean front, rocks, and continue along to a spot with an incredible view where we can picnic for lunch. When we get back, we will go out for dinner to a wharf restaurant (about 25 minutes away, nice ride) to have a good Maine seafood dinner.

Sunday after a breakfast on your own, we'll go on a boat ride out of Boothbay Harbor and follow that up with two hours of shopping in the Harbor. Trip back to Connecticut will be no later than 3:30 p.m.

If you are interested in taking part in the weekend trip we will need to know by July 6. Rooms at the Motor Lodge run $69-95 per night, depending on what you want. We need to make reservations by July 6 to assure rooms for everyone. Contact Danny O'Donnell for more information!
